GiGi: The Greater Reading Gala

A few months ago one of my favorite local non-profit organizations, the Greater Reading Young Professionals, hosted their annual GiGi gala. The gala is a fundraiser to benefit GRYP and provide financial support for their year-round objectives. The main goals of the organization are to improve the Greater Reading area and provide career support for local young professionals.

Each year the event is hosted in an unoccupied space. This year it was in a vacant section in an industrial building. The building houses a bar, club, and go-cart racing on the first floor, but the second floor remains unoccupied.

the Bell Tower Salon's Beauty Spot
We got manicures and up-do's at the Bell Tower Salon's beauty spot. The Bell Tower is a high-end salon and spa in the West Reading Area. They currently have summer specials like a Straw Berry Rhubarb facial. I've had their hot rocks massage in the dead of winter and couldn't have been happier. Go. Worth it.

Sorrelli Jewelry was a sponsor of the event (proud to call it my place of work!). We had a "sparkle spot" where guests could try on our most statement-pieces and get glamourous for a night. We even gave away some pieces to the VIP guests, who later shared their pieces on social media sites (@sorrellijewelry on Twitter, and @sorrellisparkle on Instagram). There were a  lot of happy ladies that night...

Mark and I got a little silly. We had just flown back from vacation the night before, so we were feeling pretty relaxed and calm. We danced a lot and had a great time. I know the Greater Reading Young Professionals hit their fundraising goal for the evening. A total win:win!
