Homemade Potato Chips

We are a family of DIY-ers. On vacation when we're not reading or relaxing at the beach, we generally make lots of homemade foods. Recently on the list were home-cooked potato chips.

Step 1: Heat up a huge pot of hot oil.
Step 2: Use a mandolin to slice a million potato slices.

Step 3: Throw potato slices carefully into the boiling hot vat of oil. Do not splatter and risk third degree burns.
Step 4: Transfer crispy chips to paper-towel filled metal bowl.
Step 5: Make a big mess.
Step 6: Eat a ton of potato chips.
Step 7: Pretend homemade chips somehow have less calories than regular chips.
Step 8: Repeat steps 5-7.

Step 9: When totally stuffed to the brim of potato chips, put some in a plastic bag for safe-keeping.
Step 10: Make sure there are no soggy chips in the plastic bag. This will make all the crispy chips soggy. Not a good thing.
